05
Eligible Surety Bond Assistance
When the court's order permits a surety bond and underwriting is met, GPS can discuss Minnesota bond options with you. Nothing is pre-approved, and GPS cannot change a court decision.
06
Minnesota Statewide Coverage
GPS serves eligible cases throughout Minnesota, subject to the agency holding the person and bond availability — useful when a Coon Rapids case involves Hennepin County across the river or another county.
The Coon Rapids Police Department, an Anoka County Sheriff's deputy, the Minnesota State Patrol or another agency with jurisdiction may handle an arrest or citation. Some people are cited or released without being booked into the county jail.

Step 2 of 6
Confirm Custody Through the Official Locator
Check the Anoka County Inmate Locator or call the Jail Division at 763-324-5100. A Coon Rapids arrest doesn't guarantee a booking at Anoka County Jail — the person may be released, not yet listed, or held elsewhere on another agency's matter.

Step 3 of 6
Verify Court-Set Bail and Release Conditions
Anoka County District Court in Anoka, or another authorized legal authority, decides bail and release conditions. Court information is separate from the jail's custody records.

Complete Premium, Paperwork and Underwriting
Any required premium, signed agreement, cosigner or collateral arrangement is completed as Minnesota law and the surety's underwriting require, with a receipt for every payment.

Step 6 of 6
Post an Authorized Bond and Follow Court Requirements
The responsible authority processes an accepted bond and the release — GPS doesn't control that timing, and other holds can delay it. The defendant must attend every hearing and follow all court orders.
Statewide GPS guides for Coon Rapids families looking at bail options in an Anoka County case. The order is fixed and is not a ranking of local offenses.
Not every charge is eligible for bail, and no amounts are guaranteed — the court decides in each case.
05 · Costs
What Bail Bonds Cost in Coon Rapids
Coon Rapids does not have a separate city bail bond premium schedule. Anoka County District Court determines monetary bail and release conditions, while Minnesota's filed-rate and statutory rules govern commercial surety premiums statewide.
Court-Set Bail vs. Bond Premium
The court sets the bail amount. Paying it directly in cash is one option. A surety bond instead costs a premium — a fee paid to the bail bond agency that is not returned at the end of the case. Minnesota Criminal Procedure Rule 6 ↗ (opens an external site)
Filed Surety Rates & Minimum Upfront Payment
Under Minn. Stat. §60M.02, premiums follow rates filed with the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Bonds of $10,000 or less require at least 50% of the premium collected before posting; bonds greater than $10,000 require at least 30% collected before posting. Any unpaid premium balance requires the applicable approved, signed promissory note and the statutory repayment terms. The statutory minimum premium remains $100. Minnesota §60M.02 — Bail Bond Premiums ↗ (opens an external site)
Promissory Note & Repayment
Any unpaid premium balance is put in writing, with a payment schedule and any allowed interest. The signer is responsible for that balance regardless of how the case ends. The same §60M.02 rules above govern premium payment.
Use the court-set bond amount from the jail or court.
Estimates are for informational purposes only and are not a binding quote or financing offer. Actual premiums are based on the applicable approved surety rate. Payment arrangements depend on eligibility, underwriting, and Minnesota law. Call GPS Bail Bonds for a case-specific quote.

The city's administrative and records line, open Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., is not for anything that needs an officer. For any officer response — emergency or not — the city says to dial 911, with Anoka County Emergency Communications also listed. The police office is not the county jail and its phone is not a custody hotline.
Anoka County Workhouse (separate facility): 763-324-4860
The county's primary booking facility for Coon Rapids arrests is in the City of Anoka, not in Coon Rapids. Operated by the Anoka County Sheriff's Office as the county's primary booking and intake facility; it mainly houses people who have not been sentenced. The Anoka County Workhouse (Rum River Human Services Center, 3300 4th Avenue N., Anoka) is a separate minimum-security facility mainly for sentenced adults — it is not where an initial booking happens.
Handles criminal and traffic matters filed in Anoka County, including applicable Coon Rapids cases. Judges decide bail and release conditions; GPS does not set bail amounts or hearing schedules. The Court Bail & Bonds line is for court bail questions — it is not an automatic phone-payment service, so confirm the authorized payment location and accepted methods first.
Start with the official Anoka County Inmate Locator. A Coon Rapids Police arrest may end in a citation or release rather than a booking, and a person may already be out, not yet listed, or held on another agency's matter. If they aren't listed, call the Jail Division — the police records office and City Hall are not booking desks.
02
County Jail Booking
An arrest and a jail booking are different events. Booking at Anoka County Jail involves identification, custody screening and records processing, so a recent arrest may not appear in the official locator right away. Someone cited or released without booking may never be listed, and no booking or first-appearance timeline is guaranteed.
03
Official Inmate Search
Anoka County's official Inmate Locator covers people currently held in the Jail or the Workhouse, plus people released from either facility in the past 30 days; some records note a transfer to another facility. A recent-release record does not mean the person is still in custody. GPS does not operate the locator or control custody data.
Court orders control release terms. Anoka County District Court may release someone without money bail, on conditions, with money bail, or a combination — so a commercial bond is not always needed. Conditions such as no-contact or no-alcohol terms still apply after any bond is posted. Someone serving a sentence at the Workhouse is not in an ordinary pretrial-bail situation.
05
Cash Bail vs. Surety Bond
Cash bail paid directly to the government, as the court authorizes, is different from a surety premium paid to a bail bond agency, which is not returned. GPS has not confirmed Anoka County's complete cash-bail payment procedure, so call the Jail Division (763-324-5100) or Court Bail & Bonds (763-760-6540) to confirm the authorized payment location and accepted methods before traveling. That procedure does not define how GPS accepts payment.
A warrant, another case, a probation-related restriction, a transfer or another agency's hold — including one from Hennepin County across the river — can keep someone in custody after bail is posted on the Coon Rapids matter. GPS cannot remove those restrictions or promise an immediate release.
Court dates
Court Appearance Information
Anoka County District Court, at 2100 3rd Avenue in Anoka and part of the Tenth Judicial District, decides bail and release conditions for cases filed in Anoka County. Court records and the county's custody locator are separate systems: Minnesota Court Records Online shows certain case information and hearings, but it is not a jail roster or a complete warrant check, and some pending criminal name searches are restricted. Public calendars can change, so confirm each required appearance from official notices or with Court Administration at 763-760-6700. Missing a required hearing can lead to a warrant and other serious consequences.

Coon Rapids is an incorporated city in Anoka County, between the City of Anoka and Fridley along the Mississippi River.
The city has its own municipal police department, which it describes as a 24-hour service agency handling more than 50,000 calls each year.
City Hall and police administration share the civic complex at 11155 Robinson Drive NW, but they use different administrative phone numbers — 763-755-2880 for City Hall and 763-767-6481 for police.
The city has strong ties to the Mississippi: Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park sits on the river, and the Mississippi Regional Trail follows it through the southern part of the city. At the dam, the county line with Hennepin County follows the river's main channel.
U.S. Highway 10 crosses Coon Rapids — the city's trail guide notes the Coon Creek trail crossing it — and Coon Rapids Boulevard and Hanson Boulevard are among the routes named in the city's trail descriptions.
Anoka County Jail and Anoka County District Court are in the City of Anoka, separate from Coon Rapids city government. GPS serves Coon Rapids families by phone and online and has no office in the city.

Coon Rapids Bail Bonds FAQs
Yes. Call (763) 288-2581 or use the form at any hour, including nights, weekends and holidays. GPS helps by phone and online from its Big Lake-area business location and has no Coon Rapids office.
If someone is booked, it is generally at Anoka County Jail, 325 Jackson Street in the City of Anoka, run by the Anoka County Sheriff's Office. That isn't guaranteed — some people are cited and released, and another agency's warrant can mean another facility.
No. Coon Rapids is a city, and the county jail serving it is Anoka County Jail in the City of Anoka. The Coon Rapids Police offices at the Robinson Drive civic complex are not the county jail.
Open the county's official Inmate Locator and search by name. It covers the Jail and the separate Workhouse, plus people released from either in the past 30 days, so check the record's status rather than assuming the person is still held.
A missing name doesn't prove there was no arrest. The booking may still be in progress, the person may have been cited and released, released more than 30 days ago, transferred, or held by another county. Call the Jail Division at 763-324-5100, and tell GPS what you know.
The police administrative and records line, 763-767-6481, handles general and records questions on weekdays, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. — the city says it is not for anything needing an officer. Custody status comes from the jail, so the Jail Division (763-324-5100) and the official locator are the better sources.
Cases filed in Anoka County are heard by Anoka County District Court, Anoka County Courthouse, 2100 3rd Avenue in Anoka, part of the Tenth Judicial District. Court Administration is 763-760-6700. Coon Rapids has no criminal District Court of its own.
Ask the Jail Division (763-324-5100) what is on record for someone in custody. For court-case bail questions, call Court Administration (763-760-6700) or Court Bail & Bonds (763-760-6540) — that line is not an automatic phone-payment service. GPS can help you understand the answer but cannot set bail.
Yes, when the court allows a surety bond and underwriting is met. GPS explains the premium, the agreement and any cosigner or collateral terms before you sign. Approval is not guaranteed, and GPS cannot change a court's decision.
The premium follows the rate the surety has filed with Minnesota regulators under §60M.02, with a $100 minimum. There is no Coon Rapids price list, and at least 50% (bonds of $10,000 or less) or 30% (larger bonds) is collected before posting.
Usually a government-issued photo ID, current contact and address details, and signatures on the indemnity agreement and any promissory note. Some bonds also need collateral, which Minnesota §60M.03 governs. A cosigner can owe the full bond if the defendant misses court.
Yes. A warrant, probation-related restriction or another agency's hold can keep someone in custody even after bail is posted on the Coon Rapids case. GPS cannot remove a hold — ask the Jail Division which holds apply.
The responding agency depends on the exact location — Coon Rapids Police inside the city, or a neighboring city's police, the Sheriff's Office or the State Patrol elsewhere. The Mississippi River is the line with Hennepin County, so an arrest on the Brooklyn Park side can mean Hennepin County's jail and court. Confirm the arresting agency first.
Anything you know: full legal name, date of birth or approximate age, where in Coon Rapids it happened, the arresting agency, and any booking, charge, court or bail details. Gaps are fine — you don't need a booking number to ask for help.
