03
Police, Jail & Court Guidance
Blaine Police works from City Hall on Town Square Drive NE; Anoka County Jail and Anoka County District Court are in the City of Anoka. We explain which agency handles the arrest, the custody and the bail decision.
04
Clear Premium & Paperwork Information
We explain the filed premium, each document you'd sign, what a cosigner takes on and when collateral might be requested — before you commit to anything.
05
Eligible Surety Bond Assistance
When the court's order permits a surety bond and underwriting is met, GPS can discuss Minnesota bond options with you. Nothing is pre-approved, and GPS cannot change a court decision.
06
Minnesota Statewide Coverage
GPS serves eligible cases throughout Minnesota, subject to the agency holding the person and bond availability — useful because a small part of Blaine lies in Ramsey County.
The Blaine Police Department, the Minnesota State Patrol on I-35W or a state highway, an Anoka County Sheriff's deputy or another agency with jurisdiction may handle an arrest or citation. Some people are cited or released without being booked.

02
Step 2 of 6
Confirm Custody Through the Official Locator
Check the Anoka County Inmate Locator or call the Jail Division at 763-324-5100. A Blaine arrest doesn't guarantee a booking at Anoka County Jail — the person may be released, not yet listed, or held elsewhere on another agency's matter.
03
03
Step 3 of 6
Verify Court-Set Bail and Release Conditions
The court handling the case — usually Anoka County District Court — or another authorized legal authority decides bail and release conditions. Court information is separate from the jail's custody records.

04
Step 4 of 6
Contact GPS and Review Available Bond Options
Call (763) 288-2581 with whatever you know. GPS explains eligible surety options, the filed premium rate, the paperwork and any other possible requirements. Approval is not guaranteed.
05
05
Step 5 of 6
Complete Premium, Paperwork and Underwriting
Any required premium, signed agreement, cosigner or collateral arrangement is completed as Minnesota law and the surety's underwriting require, with a receipt for every payment.
06
06
Step 6 of 6
Post an Authorized Bond and Follow Court Requirements
The responsible authority processes an accepted bond and the release — GPS doesn't control that timing, and other holds can delay it. The defendant must attend every hearing and follow all court orders.
Not every charge is eligible for bail, and no amounts are guaranteed — the court decides in each case.
05 · Costs
What Bail Bonds Cost in Blaine
Blaine does not have a separate city bail bond premium schedule. Anoka County District Court determines monetary bail and release conditions, while Minnesota's filed-rate and statutory rules govern commercial surety premiums statewide.
Court-Set Bail vs. Bond Premium
The court sets the bail amount. Paying it directly in cash is one option. A surety bond instead costs a premium — a fee paid to the bail bond agency that is not returned at the end of the case. Minnesota Criminal Procedure Rule 6 ↗ (opens an external site)
Filed Surety Rates & Minimum Upfront Payment
Under Minn. Stat. §60M.02, premiums follow rates filed with the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Bonds of $10,000 or less require at least 50% of the premium collected before posting; bonds greater than $10,000 require at least 30% collected before posting. Any unpaid premium balance requires the applicable approved, signed promissory note and the statutory repayment terms. The statutory minimum premium remains $100. Minnesota §60M.02 — Bail Bond Premiums ↗ (opens an external site)
Promissory Note & Repayment
Any unpaid premium balance is put in writing, with a payment schedule and any allowed interest. The signer is responsible for that balance regardless of how the case ends. The same §60M.02 rules above govern premium payment.
Use the court-set bond amount from the jail or court.
Estimates are for informational purposes only and are not a binding quote or financing offer. Actual premiums are based on the applicable approved surety rate. Payment arrangements depend on eligibility, underwriting, and Minnesota law. Call GPS Bail Bonds for a case-specific quote.

Blaine Jails & Custody Information
Blaine has its own police department, based at City Hall on Town Square Drive NE. The Anoka County Jail and the Anoka County District Court are in the City of Anoka — Blaine has no municipal jail or criminal District Court. Confirm current custody and release terms through official sources.
Blaine City Hall10801 Town Square Drive NEBlaine, MN 55449763-784-6700
The City of Blaine maintains its own police department, housed in Blaine City Hall. Officers may make arrests or issue citations, but the police office is not the county jail and its phone is not a custody hotline. For non-emergency police help, use the dispatch number; in an emergency, call 911.
Anoka County Workhouse (separate facility): 763-324-4860
The county's primary booking facility for Blaine arrests is in the City of Anoka, not in Blaine. Operated by the Anoka County Sheriff's Office as the county's primary booking and intake facility; it mainly houses people who have not been sentenced. The Anoka County Workhouse (Rum River Human Services Center, 3300 4th Avenue N., Anoka) is a separate minimum-security facility mainly for sentenced adults — it is not where an initial booking happens.
Handles criminal and traffic matters filed in Anoka County, including applicable Blaine cases. Judges decide bail and release conditions; GPS does not set bail amounts or hearing schedules. The Court Bail & Bonds line is for court bail questions — it is not an automatic phone-payment service, so confirm the authorized payment location and accepted methods first.
Start with the official Anoka County Inmate Locator. A Blaine Police arrest may end in a citation or release rather than a booking, and a person may already be out, not yet listed, or held on another agency's matter. If they aren't listed, call the Jail Division — the Blaine Police office and City Hall reception are not booking desks.
02
County Jail Booking
An arrest and a jail booking are different events. Booking at Anoka County Jail involves identification, custody screening and records processing, so a recent arrest may not appear in the official locator right away. Someone cited or released without booking may never be listed, and no booking or first-appearance timeline is guaranteed.
03
Official Inmate Search
Anoka County's official Inmate Locator covers people currently held in the Jail or the Workhouse, plus people released from either facility in the past 30 days; some records note a transfer to another facility. A recent-release record does not mean the person is still in custody. GPS does not operate the locator or control custody data.
Court orders control release terms. Anoka County District Court may release someone without money bail, on conditions, with money bail, or a combination — so a commercial bond is not always needed. Conditions such as no-contact or no-alcohol terms still apply after any bond is posted. Someone serving a sentence at the Workhouse is not in an ordinary pretrial-bail situation.
05
Cash Bail vs. Surety Bond
Cash bail paid directly to the government, as the court authorizes, is different from a surety premium paid to a bail bond agency, which is not returned. GPS has not confirmed Anoka County's complete cash-bail payment procedure, so call the Jail Division (763-324-5100) or Court Bail & Bonds (763-760-6540) to confirm the authorized payment location and accepted methods before traveling. That procedure does not define how GPS accepts payment.
A warrant, another case, a probation-related restriction, a transfer or another agency's hold can keep someone in custody after bail is posted on the Blaine matter. GPS cannot remove those restrictions or promise an immediate release. See our Warrant and Probation Violation guides.
Court dates
Court Appearance Information
Anoka County District Court, at 2100 3rd Avenue in Anoka and part of the Tenth Judicial District, decides bail and release conditions for cases filed in Anoka County. Court records and the county's custody locator are separate systems: Minnesota Court Records Online shows certain case information and hearings, but it is not a jail roster or a complete warrant check, and some pending criminal name searches are restricted. Public calendars can change, so confirm each required appearance from official notices or with Court Administration at 763-760-6700. Missing a required hearing can lead to a warrant and other serious consequences.

Blaine is an incorporated municipality in Anoka County, north of Minneapolis and St. Paul. It is home to the National Sports Center and the TPC Twin Cities golf course.
Blaine operates its own police department rather than relying on the Sheriff's Office for city policing.
Police and City Hall services are based at 10801 Town Square Drive NE: City Hall, built in 2002, is also home to the Blaine Police Department, with separate phone numbers for each.
According to the City of Blaine, Interstate 35W and Highways 10 and 65 run through the city.
Blaine's police operations are separate from the Anoka County Sheriff's Jail Division, which runs the county jail.
The county jail (325 Jackson Street) and Anoka County District Court (2100 3rd Avenue) are in the City of Anoka, not at Blaine City Hall. A small part of Blaine lies in Ramsey County. GPS serves Blaine families by phone and online and has no office in the city.

Blaine Bail Bonds FAQs
Yes. Call (763) 288-2581 or use the form at any hour, including nights, weekends and holidays. GPS helps by phone and online from its Big Lake-area business location and has no Blaine office.
The Blaine Police Department, the city's own municipal agency, handles most arrests inside city limits. The Minnesota State Patrol, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office or another agency may be involved depending on the location — for example, a stop on I-35W.
If someone is booked for an Anoka County case, it is generally at Anoka County Jail, 325 Jackson Street in the City of Anoka. That isn't guaranteed — some people are cited and released, and another agency's warrant can mean another facility.
No. The Blaine Police Department is the city's law-enforcement agency, with its offices in Blaine City Hall. It is not the county jail, and its administrative line (763-785-6168) is not a custody hotline — custody status comes from Anoka County Jail.
Search the county's official Inmate Locator by name, or call the Jail Division at 763-324-5100. A very recent booking may not appear yet, and a missing name doesn't prove there was no arrest.
Yes. The locator covers the Jail and the separate Anoka County Workhouse, plus people released from either facility in the past 30 days. The Workhouse mainly holds sentenced adults, so a Workhouse listing usually isn't an ordinary pretrial-bail situation.
Ask the Jail Division (763-324-5100) what is on record for someone in custody. For court-case bail questions, call Court Administration (763-760-6700) or Court Bail & Bonds (763-760-6540) — that line is not an automatic phone-payment service.
Most Blaine cases are filed in Anoka County and heard at Anoka County District Court, 2100 3rd Avenue in Anoka (Tenth Judicial District, 763-760-6700). A small part of Blaine lies in Ramsey County, so an incident there could be filed in Ramsey County instead — check the case record for the filing court.
Sometimes. When the court allows cash bail, it is paid to the government rather than to a bail bond agency, and it is different from a surety premium. GPS has not confirmed Anoka County's complete cash-bail procedure, so call the jail or Court Bail & Bonds before traveling to confirm where and how bail is accepted.
The premium follows the rate the surety has filed with Minnesota regulators under §60M.02, with a $100 minimum. There is no universal percentage and no Blaine price list; the court sets the bail amount itself.
Sometimes, for an eligible Blaine case. Minnesota requires at least 50% of the premium before posting on bonds of $10,000 or less, with the balance due within four months, and at least 30% on larger bonds, with up to twelve months — always under a signed promissory note. GPS will tell you up front whether a plan is possible; it is never guaranteed.
A court order setting conditions that haven't been met, another warrant or case, a probation-related restriction, or another agency's hold. Release also depends on the jail's processing. GPS cannot remove a hold or promise a release time.
It can. On I-35W or Highways 10 and 65 the State Patrol may respond, and just outside Blaine a neighboring city's police or the Sheriff's Office may handle it. An incident in the Ramsey County part of Blaine, or across a county line, can involve a different county's jail and court.
Anything you know: full legal name, date of birth or approximate age, where in Blaine it happened, the arresting agency, and any booking, charge, court or bail details. Gaps are fine — you don't need a booking number to ask for help.
