Isanti County Jail & Court Guidance
Isanti County Jail (509 18th Avenue SW) and Isanti County District Court (555 18th Avenue SW) are both in Cambridge but do different jobs: the jail holds people in custody, and the court decides bail and release conditions.
04
Clear Premium & Paperwork Information
We explain the filed premium, each document you'd sign, what a cosigner takes on and when collateral might be requested — before you commit to anything.
05
Eligible Surety Bond Assistance
When the court's order permits a surety bond and underwriting is met, GPS can discuss Minnesota bond options with you. Nothing is pre-approved, and GPS cannot change a court decision.
06
Minnesota Statewide Coverage
GPS serves eligible cases throughout Minnesota, subject to the agency holding the person and bond availability — useful when a Cambridge case involves another county.
Cambridge Police Department, Isanti County Sheriff's deputies or another agency with jurisdiction may handle an arrest or citation. Some people receive a citation or are released without being booked into the county jail.

Step 2 of 6
Confirm Custody and Isanti County Jail Status
Use the official Isanti County In Custody list or call the jail. A person arrested in Cambridge may be held at Isanti County Jail, released, or held elsewhere on another agency's matter — an arrest doesn't guarantee a booking.
03
03
Step 3 of 6
Verify Court-Set Bail and Release Conditions
Isanti County District Court, or another authorized legal authority, decides bail and release conditions. Court Administration and court orders are separate from jail booking information.

Step 4 of 6

Step 5 of 6
Complete Premium, Paperwork and Underwriting
Any required premium, signed agreement, cosigner or collateral arrangement is completed as Minnesota law and the surety's underwriting require, with a receipt for every payment.

Step 6 of 6
Post an Authorized Bond and Follow Court Requirements
The responsible authority processes an accepted bond and the release. Timing depends on custody processing and any other holds. The defendant must attend every hearing and follow all court orders.
Statewide GPS guides for Cambridge families looking at bail options in an Isanti County case. The order is fixed and is not a ranking of local offenses.
Not every charge is eligible for bail, and no amounts are guaranteed — the court decides in each case.
05 · Costs
What Bail Bonds Cost in Cambridge
Cambridge does not have a separate city bail bond premium schedule. Isanti County District Court determines monetary bail and release conditions, while Minnesota's filed-rate and statutory rules govern commercial surety premiums statewide.
Court-Set Bail vs. Bond Premium
The court sets the bail amount. Paying it directly in cash is one option. A surety bond instead costs a premium — a fee paid to the bail bond agency that is not returned at the end of the case. Minnesota Criminal Procedure Rule 6 ↗ (opens an external site)
Filed Surety Rates & Minimum Upfront Payment
Under Minn. Stat. §60M.02, premiums follow rates filed with the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Bonds of $10,000 or less require at least 50% of the premium collected before posting; bonds greater than $10,000 require at least 30% collected before posting. Any unpaid premium balance requires the applicable approved, signed promissory note and the statutory repayment terms. The statutory minimum premium remains $100. Minnesota §60M.02 — Bail Bond Premiums ↗ (opens an external site)
Promissory Note & Repayment
Any unpaid premium balance is put in writing, with a payment schedule and any allowed interest. The signer is responsible for that balance regardless of how the case ends. The same §60M.02 rules above govern premium payment.
Use the court-set bond amount from the jail or court.
Estimates are for informational purposes only and are not a binding quote or financing offer. Actual premiums are based on the applicable approved surety rate. Payment arrangements depend on eligibility, underwriting, and Minnesota law. Call GPS Bail Bonds for a case-specific quote.

Cambridge Jails & Custody Information
Cambridge has its own police department, and it is also home to the Isanti County Jail and the Isanti County District Court — three separate agencies at three separate addresses. Confirm current custody and release terms through official sources.

Cambridge maintains its own police department; the office is inside Cambridge City Center Mall (enter Door 1 and follow the signs to the back). Officers may make arrests or issue citations, but the police office is not the county jail and its phone is not a custody hotline — an arrest doesn't mean someone was booked. To reach an officer on a non-emergency matter, the department directs callers to Isanti County Dispatch. In an emergency, call 911.
The principal county custody facility for Cambridge arrests — a separate building and function from the courthouse at 555 18th Avenue SW. Operated by the Isanti County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's staff directory lists Master Control as 763-689-2397, while the county's Contact Us page shows 763-691-2397 — the conflict is unresolved, so use the Sheriff's general line if a number doesn't connect.
Handles criminal and traffic matters filed in Isanti County, including applicable Cambridge cases. The courthouse is a separate building and a separate function from the county jail at 509 18th Avenue SW. Judges determine bail or release conditions; GPS does not set bail amounts or hearing schedules.
Start with the official Isanti County In Custody list. A Cambridge Police arrest may end in a citation or release rather than a booking, and a person may already be out or held on another agency's matter. If they aren't listed, call the jail — the Cambridge Police office and City Hall are not booking desks.
02
County Jail Booking
An arrest and a jail booking are different events. Booking at Isanti County Jail involves confirming identity, custody screening and records processing, so a recent arrest may not appear on the In Custody list right away. No booking or first-appearance timeline is guaranteed, and a citation does not automatically mean someone was booked.
03
Official Inmate Search
The Isanti County Sheriff's Office publishes an official In Custody page that embeds the county's custody list. It shows people presently recorded in custody — it is not an arrest log, a warrant check or a court record, and it can change at any time. GPS does not operate it or control custody data.
Court orders control release terms. Isanti County District Court may release someone without money bail, on conditions, with money bail, or a combination — so a commercial bond is not always needed. Conditions such as no-contact or no-alcohol terms still apply after any bond is posted.
05
Cash Bail vs. Surety Bond
Cash bail paid directly to the government, as the court authorizes, is different from a surety premium paid to a bail bond agency, which is not returned. GPS has not confirmed Isanti County's complete cash-bail payment procedure, so call the jail before traveling to ask where, when and how bail is received. That procedure does not define how GPS accepts payment.
A warrant, another case, a probation-related restriction, a transfer or another agency's hold can keep someone in custody after bail is posted on the Cambridge matter. GPS cannot remove those restrictions or promise an immediate release. See our Warrant and Probation Violation guides.
Court dates
Court Appearance Information
Isanti County District Court, in Cambridge and part of the Tenth Judicial District, decides bail and release conditions for cases filed in Isanti County. The public court calendar is posted each business day but does not show every hearing — a missing entry does not cancel one. Confirm each required appearance from official notices or by calling Court Administration at 763-290-7020. Court records and the jail's custody list are separate systems, and Minnesota Court Records Online restricts some pending criminal name searches. Missing a required hearing can lead to a warrant and other serious consequences.

Cambridge is the county seat of Isanti County in east-central Minnesota and the center of county government.
The community developed along the Rum River — the city calls itself the "City on the Rum River" — and was established in 1866, according to the city's historical information.
Minnesota Highways 65 and 95 are important transportation corridors serving Cambridge, linking it north–south with the City of Isanti and east–west across the region.
Cambridge operates its own municipal police department at 300 3rd Avenue NE, inside Cambridge City Center Mall — the same address as City Hall.
Isanti County Jail (509 18th Avenue SW) and Isanti County District Court (555 18th Avenue SW) are both located in Cambridge, at separate addresses with separate functions.
The city is distinct from Cambridge Township, a separate unit of local government; an incident's precise location determines which agency has jurisdiction. GPS serves Cambridge families by phone and online and has no office in the city.

Cambridge Bail Bonds FAQs
Yes. Call (763) 288-2581 or use the form at any hour, including nights, weekends and holidays. GPS helps by phone and online from its Big Lake-area business location and has no Cambridge office.
If someone is booked, it is generally at Isanti County Jail, 509 18th Avenue SW in Cambridge, operated by the Isanti County Sheriff's Office. Some people are cited and released instead, and an arrest on another agency's warrant can mean another facility.
No. The Cambridge Police Department's office in Cambridge City Center Mall is not a jail or detention facility. The county jail in Cambridge is run by the Isanti County Sheriff's Office, not the city.
Check the official In Custody list published by the Sheriff's Office. A recent booking may not appear yet, and a missing name doesn't prove there was no arrest. Call Jail Master Control at 763-689-2397 (the county's Contact Us page lists 763-691-2397) or the Sheriff's general line, 763-689-2141.
Isanti County District Court in the Isanti County Courthouse, 555 18th Avenue SW in Cambridge, part of Minnesota's Tenth Judicial District. Court Administration is 763-290-7020, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Direct cash bail may be possible when the court authorizes it, but GPS has not confirmed Isanti County's complete cash-bail procedure. Call the jail before you travel to ask where, when and how bail is received for that case. Cash bail is paid to the government and is separate from a bond premium.
The premium follows the rate the surety has filed with Minnesota regulators under §60M.02, with a $100 minimum. There is no universal Minnesota percentage and no Cambridge price list; the court sets the bail amount itself.
Sometimes. At least 50% of the premium is collected before posting on bonds of $10,000 or less (balance within four months), and at least 30% on larger bonds (within twelve months), with a signed promissory note. A payment arrangement is never guaranteed.
No. Some people are cited and released, and the court may release someone without money bail or on conditions only. A commercial bond is needed only when the court sets money bail and a surety bond is allowed.
Common examples include no-contact orders, no-alcohol or testing terms, travel limits and keeping every court date. Conditions still apply after a bond is posted, and a violation can lead to re-arrest.
A warrant, probation-related restriction or another agency's hold can keep someone in custody even after bail is posted on the Cambridge case. GPS cannot remove a hold — ask the jail which holds apply.
No. The City of Cambridge and Cambridge Township are separate local governments. Where an incident happened determines whether Cambridge Police, the Sheriff's Office or another agency handled it — custody and court still run through Isanti County when the case is filed there.
The responding agency depends on the exact location — Cambridge Police within the city, or the Sheriff's Office, Minnesota State Patrol or another agency elsewhere. If the stop happened across a county line, another county's jail and court may be involved, so confirm the arresting agency first.
Anything you know: full legal name, date of birth or approximate age, where in Cambridge it happened, the arresting agency, and any booking, charge, court or bail details. Gaps are fine — you don't need a booking number to ask for help.
